qualifications go hand in hand with practical skills.
So the lack of practical skills is basically the major cause of uneployment

Part of the problem in Uganda is the copy cat syndrome. many start ups are not fully thought through before opening doors only to realize shortly that the returns are not as rosy as it seemed. There is need to embrace at least some basic business planning to be in the game but not on it simply.
Another challenge may be lack of persistence by the ventures’ promoters. We tend to want it work out first time round, there is no patience for mishaps along the way.

I would like to add soft skills too on Dorothy’s equation. this is a big missing attribute in many employees today.
